A massive fire erupted aboard the 41.25-meter luxury superyacht Sea Lady II on Thursday night at the famed Port de Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera. Shocking videos circulating online show the vessel engulfed in flames and black smoke as firefighters struggled to board the burning yacht. The blaze reportedly began in the bow shortly after 8 PM, quickly spreading to lower decks. Two crew members, aged 24 and 35, were rescued and treated for smoke inhalation. The fire was largely under control by midnight, but officials say the vessel is likely to sink. Surrounding yachts were evacuated, and anti-pollution barriers were deployed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Delivered in 1986 and designed by Don Shead, Sea Lady II could accommodate 10 guests and was available for charter at β¬65,000 per week. Its destruction marks one of the most high-profile yacht fires in the Mediterranean this year.
