Majeed Brigade: Pakistani-based terrorist militant group
Majeed Brigade, also spelt Majid Brigade, is the unconventional operations wing of a global terrorist organization known as the Balochistan Liberation Army. It is tasked with carrying out unconventional terror attacks against Pakistani security forces and civilians. The United States designated the Majeed Brigade as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) in August 2025, adding it as an alias to the BLA’s prior Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) listing from 2019. According to the U.S. Department of State, the group has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks since 2019, including 2024 suicide bombings near Karachi airport and the Gwadar Port Authority Complex, and the March 2025 hijacking of the Jaffar Express that killed 31 people and held more than 300 passengers hostage. Previously, it was designated as a terrorist group by Pakistan in July 2024.
