According to Axios, senior US officials say some European governments publicly endorse President Donald Trump’s peace drive while privately pushing Kiev toward unrealistic conditions, prolonging the war. Trump, fresh from his Alaska summit with Vladimir Putin and meetings with Volodymyr Zelensky, is pressing for a lasting peace deal—not just a ceasefire.
